Poetry Prize for her poem, Shack Fires in Lwandle. Erica has also
read poetry for Off the Wall. Three poems have been acquired by AVBOB for
their 2025 and 2026 Poetry Project. Erica’s flash piece is included in the
anthology In Other Stories, edited by Kerry Hammerton and published by
Karavan Press (2024). Her debut literary speculative fiction novel, Bloodbird,
has been acquired by Mirari Press for publication in 2026. Infused with
razor-sharp symbolism, dark humour, and aching beauty, Bloodbird is a
poetic exploration of trauma, desire, and transformation. “Livingston’s voice
is one-of-a-kind—mythic, earthy, and intimate,” says Marius du Plessis, CEO and
Publisher. “Bloodbird reads like a fever dream, with teeth.”
